3.
To request a bye and receive a half-point (max twice but not in the last
round), notify the TD:
- For Weekend tournaments, notify the TD before the tournament starts.
- For Tuesday tournaments, notify the TD before the draw is made.
usually by Sunday 12:00
pm, or at TD discretion.
4. Clocks will be started at scheduled game time or immediately after the announcements finish, whichever is later. No-show default time is 30 minutes, but if a player contacts the TD, an extra 15 minutes may be allowed at TD discretion.
5. If no contact is made within 3 days, the TD will assume the Player has withdrawn and will not pair the player in subsequent rounds.
6. No payments will be refunded after the tournament has started. The Treasurer may refund entry fees if given adequate notice, less processing and administration fees.
7. TD has the right to eject any Player who violates CCC’s posted Zero Tolerance Policy.

Prize Procedures:
1. Cash prizes for all events are split between the tied players, irrelevant of any tie-break formulae.
2. No player may win more than one prize, and receive the highest.
3. CCC reserves the right not to award a ratings-based prize to a non-rated player. (e.g., could be highly rated elsewhere.)
Ties:
For most tournaments, ties do not need to be resolved. However, for some tournaments, usually involving a title, a trophy, a qualification to a later event, or a subsidy for future travel, ties must be resolved. These tie-break procedures, applied in order, will determine a single winner.
1. Head-to-head (if
all those tied played each other).
2. Buchholz (sum of
all scores of opponents).
3. Buchholz cut 1 (sum
of all scores of opponents except the lowest point scorer).
4. Sonneborn-Berger
(sum
of all scores of opponents won against and half the scores of opponents drawn).
5. Most wins.
6. Most games with
Black.
7. Draw of Lots.
