I’m really happy to report that Dustin Rogers has joined our 2023 Canadian Open organizing committee.
Dustin resides in Airdrie and he brings with him a wealth of organizing experience.
So far we have the following volunteers on the 2023 Canadian Open organizing committee in alphabetical order:
Michael Anderson (CCC Secretary)
Zeeshan Munir (CCC director)
Vlad Rekhson (former ACA president)
Dustin Rogers (wealth of organizing experience)
Steve Sklenka, (CCC president & Chair) & (Marie)
Ted Wilson (1996 Canadian Open Chair) & (Gail)
Walter Watson (former ACA president) has expressed his interest to help.
We need a minimum of 7-8 motivated and dedicated volunteers. We have 6 plus 2 spouses.
Ideally I want to aim for 12 volunteers to spread the workload.
If you have someone in your circle of influence that you feel might be able to help us, please let me know.
It’s not important that the person is a chess player.
However what is important is that that person is enthusiastic, dependable and basically will do what they promise they’ll do. Thanks!
Welcome to the group Dustin!!
Best,
Steve
