WEDNESDAY BLITZ NIGHT

Wednesday evenings are all about speed!

We have revamped Wednesday Blitz.

Think of each month as a package that enables you to play in 1 to 4 (sometimes 5) times.

The last Wednesday of each month is CFC rated. Entry is $20 cash at the door. This allows for more serious prizes.

All earlier Wednesdays in the month are more casual and not rated, and entry is a nominal $5 cash at the door.

The good news is that for every earlier Wednesday that you play, you receive a $5 credit towards that month's rated tournament.

For example, if you play in 3 earlier Wednesdays in the month, you will receive a $15 credit towards the rated game, and only pay $5 instead of $20.

Games are 5/3 (a game must finish in 5 minutes, but each move credits you 3 seconds).

We aim to play approximately 8 rounds depending on attendance.

40% is returned as small prizes for the earlier Wednesdays.

CCC will donate the TD fee for the rated Wednesday, so that 96% of entry fees will be returned as prizes less rating fees.

CCC membership is mandatory.

CFC membership is required for the last Wednesday as it is rated.

Hours are from 07:00pm to 10:00pm or so. Please do not be late as it affects pairings.

Coffee, tea, and simple snacks are available free. Nominal charge for pop and water.

You cannot pay online. You cannot register online. Just show up with cash. This keeps things simple and our overhead low.
