Currently we have about 40 players registered in this event, and the maximum number of entries is 52. We will close registration after reaching the limit, please register now if you want to play this weekend. 

Dates: May 31 - Jun 2, 2024

Format: 6-round Open Swiss. CFC & FIDE rated.

Time Control: Game in 90 minutes 30 seconds/move. A 30-minute break between games is guaranteed.

The no-show default time is 30-minutes, but if a player contacts the TD, an extra 15 minutes may be allowed at TD discretion.

This Tournament is Limited to 52 participants on a first come basis. 

Sections:

Premier: CFC Regular rating 1500 & up

Future Master: CFC Regular rating, Under 1300

If you are rating is between 1300 and 1500, you are free to choose either section. 

Round Times

Round 1: Friday 7:00 pm

Round 2: Saturday 9:30 am 

Round 3: Saturday 2:00 pm

Round 4: Saturday 6:30 pm

Round 5: Sunday 9:30 am

Round 6: Sunday 2 pm or ASAP

CFC membership is required and can be purchased online CFC - CFC Membership - How (chess.ca), Annual membership is $43 for adults and $28 for juniors.

CFC single-tournament membership is $20 for adults and $10 for juniors.

Proof of updated CFC ID (not expired) needs to be checked before tournament.

Prizes:

Sum of entry fees minus

1. ACA dues of $10 (per player)

2. $1 payment processing fee (per player)
